The iconic Nokia 3310 is back

Nokia 3310

Even in the age of smartphones it still pays to have a smaller, lighter, longer-lasting backup phone for simple texting and calling, or a so-called feature phone. And when it comes to feature phones, one of the most durable and best selling of them all is back -- the Nokia 3310. The updated 3310 was officially unveiled by Nokia maker HMD Global at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain with an average global retail price of 49 euros (roughly 52 dollars).

The 3310 is the kind of phone that you can bring to the office without worrying that it will run out of juice in the middle of your workday. It comes with a removable 1200 mAh battery that provides a maximum talk time of 22.1 hours and a maximum standby time of 31 days! You can also use it to play MP3 files for up to 51 hours or to listen to its built-in FM radio for up to 39 hours.

The 3310 is available in four colors: warm red (glossy), dark blue (matte), yellow (glossy) and grey (matte). It comes with 16 megabytes of internal memory, with a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 gigabytes of added memory. It features a 2.4-inch curved display with a polarized layer for better readability in sunlight and is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash for basic picture-taking.
