I recently downloaded Andy and I am now able to run Android apps and games (such as the highly popular "Clash of Clans") on my Windows 10 PC! Andy is an Android emulator which allows apps built for Android to run on Windows computers. To use it you simply need to download the installer, run it, follow the instructions, and start using your Windows PC like a regular Android smartphone or tablet.
You can also run Android on Windows by using VirtualBox or VMWare Player to create an Android virtual machine from an Android ISO image. But you will have to manually configure the settings. (Check out this page for VirtualBox instructions.)
So what are the benefits of running Android apps on a desktop computer? Well, for one thing you get to use a much bigger screen. Also, you can play games using a mouse and a keyboard.
